The client

Kent & London produces quality handmade furniture from their workshop in Whitstable, Kent.

The brief

The client needed a strong brand identity and stunning photography of their product range for their website and marketing communications.

Defining the style

Taking inspiration from Kent and London’s quaint seaside location, and the Farrow and Ball colours used in their furniture, we started the design process by deciding a colour palette of classic, muted tones before going on to design the 1930s-style logo. It was crucial that the photography had a consistent and classic style, so our art direction focused on textures, shooting against backgrounds that reflected and complemented the tactile nature of the products.

The delivery

Having built up a library of images and with the branding developed, we then went on to produce the website, adverts, advertorials, and press releases for Kent and London, and we are currently working with them to develop a product brochure.

The results

Kent and London is getting rave reviews on web-blogs, has been featured in Red magazine, and is receiving orders for bespoke pieces from as far as the States.
